After our tour of the Financial District, we headed to The Montague for a proper English Tea. It was great and came with all the trimmings-tiny sandwiches, several choices of tea, scones with clotted cream and jam. It was so good and we were served as much as we wanted! The staff were so friendly. It was good to be inside for a while because the rain was coming down! When we finished our tea, the rain let up a bit and Jeanie led us to the British Museum which was in close walking distance. Entering the museum took my breath away! After passing the ticket area, you go down a grand stairway into the glass-covered Great Court. From there we viewed ancient Greek, Assyrian and Egyptian artifacts. It was fascinating! I have to come back one day and spend more time. There is so much to see!
