I enjoyed our tour of The Globe Theatre. Our guide, Vivian, was delightful and very knowledgeable. She showed us inside the theatre and told us the history and about the fire that burned the theatre down in 1612 during a performance of "All Is True (Henry VIII)". Everyone got out safely, but the building was completely destroyed. This building was reconstructed in 1997. It is a little smaller than the original and is built near the original sight. It is built of fire-proof materials and seats 1500 people.
