Bannockburn
When we left Stirling Castle, the rain had stopped and Liz took us to Bannockburn. We saw the statue of King Robert the Bruce and she told us of the battle here where the English were defeated. We had our tour celebration here. She had costume attire, shared a drink, and took pictures. From here, you can look in the distance and see the William Wallace Monument on the hill called Abbey Craig. Wallace had a victory here in the Battle of Stirling (1297 AD). Then it was time to head back to Edinburgh for our last evening together. Time goes by too quickly!
