Edinburgh WalkingTour
After touring Edinburgh Castle, we next toured the Royal Mile which leads down to Holyrood House. Holyrood was closed to the public due to the Queen's visit. I followed Rick Steves' guidebook that features sites along the Royal Mile-Gladstone's Land, Deacon Brodie's Tavern, David Hume Statue, Site of Last Execution, Heart of Midlothian, Mercat Cross, St. Gile's Cathedral, Greyfriars Bobby and Cemetery and the National Museum of Scotland.
It was a full day. I walked back to The Place Hotel passing Princes Street Gardens and decided to take a stroll through the gardens again as we are leaving Edinburgh tomorrow. I stopped at the Tesco Market for a picnic dinner in my room and had a long soak in our wonderful, deep tub. This is luxury!
