Kenmore
Highland Games
We boarded our coach at 3:00 pm and headed for Kenmore where we would spend the next two nights. It was a 2 hour drive and most tour members fell asleep on the drive. We arrived in Kenmore around 5:00 pm, received our room assignments and keys, then hurried down to the dining room for an early dinner as we were told the Highland Games were in Kenmore tonight! Everyone was excited and wanted to hurry to the games. Once we completed dinner, we met Liz at the entrance of the games and she paid our admittance. We watched Caber Toss, Hammer Throw, Shot Put, Stone Put, Weight Throw, Weight Over The Bar, Highland Dancing, Piping, Cross-Country Race and Tug-Of-War. I stayed until it was almost dark, then headed back to our room for a good night's rest. It has been a full day.

I noticed the fields were draped in frost cover-I guess to extend the growing season.
Our hotel in this very small, one street village.
The games are not complete without the bagpipes!
