Bath Locks
While I had spare time in Bath, two tours members, Kirk and Carol Bryant from Arizona, told me about a walk along the Bath Locks. The entrance to the old "tow path" was just south of the Pulteney Bridge. I started my walk there and continued for a few miles to the north of the city were I was able to view the Georgian homes on the hillside. I witnessed the narrow boats navigating the locks. It was very interesting to watch the process of entering the gate, closing it behind them, opening the next gate, allowing the water to fill, then opening the gate to proceed on.
