14 Day Best of England 2016
Conwy
Conwy, Wales! We have arrived. I really love this little town. It still resides within the old stone walls. These walls are the most complete of all medieval town walls in Britain. I am looking forward to walking the walls and seeing the views. Conwy is located on the Irish Sea in north Wales. I am looking forward to walking the promenade along the sea. It is a great home base for exploring Bodnant Gardens, Caernarfon Castle and Snowdonia National Park. When we arrive, our coach squeezes through the narrow entryway in the city wall and we make our way to our hotel- Castle Hotel. However, when we arrive there is no where to park. The front of the hotel had cones to reserve it for us so we could park, but another coach parked there and we could not. Jamie contacted the police and spoke with them, but they were unable to locate the owners of the coach. The hotel made provision for us to park the coach across the street in an empty lot. It all worked out. We were given an hour to settle in before meeting in the hotel restaurant for dinner.

This hotel had a great location-easy walk to the waterfront promenade and the old city walls.
Beautiful windows above the door.
We get to meet Gareth's father who still lives on the farm and is in his early 80's. Remarkable man.
