14 Day Best of England 2016
Free Time Walk
Upon completion of our Thames River Cruise, we were on our own the rest of the day until our final dinner meeting. I walked past Parliament, passed Downing Street. I was hoping to walk down Downing Street and get a picture of #10, the home of the Prime Minister, but I was met with a closed gate and guards. So I headed for the Horse Guards. Next I visited St. James Park to get pictures of the beautiful flowers, pond, fountains, swans, then was off to see Buckingham Palace. So beautiful. I headed back to The Fielding Hotel through The Mall, crossed under Admiralty Arch, Trafalgar Square, then to the hotel. I had a few hours to rest and re-pack in preparation for my departure tomorrow morning. We met to walk to our dinner restaurant at 6:15 and dined until 9:15. Jamie walked us back to our hotel and some of us were heading out early so we said our good-byes. This is always the saddest part of the trip. I really enjoyed getting to know all my tour-mates. It was such a good time. Cheerio!!
